Get Involved in 2020!

2020 Committee Opportunities include:
Education Committee advocates and assists members in supporting a K through life philosophy of education by providing opportunities for education/business partnerships, providing education information to members and the community through forums, workshops, and social media, and hosting or facilitating events to include: New Teacher Reception, Ethics Workshop and Leadership Front Royal-Warren County.  Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Chamber office.  Chair:  Jeff Hinson, Rappahannock Electric.

Event Committees promote the community and the Chamber through events focused on fundraising, community development and promotion, and/or professional development.  These include:

  • Annual Dinner & Awards (Seasonal meetings February-June)
  • Bowling Tournament (Seasonal meetings January-March & August-October)
  • Christmas Parade & Celebration (Seasonal Meetings July-December)
  • Millionaire Maker Golf Event (Seasonal meetings January-May)
  • River & Brews Festival (Seasonal meetings March-September)
  • Vows in the Valley Bridal Show (Seasonal meetings TBD)
  • Wine & Craft Festival (Seasonal meetings September-May)

Legislative Committee works to promote and enhance the business climate by assuming a proactive role on local, state, and national issues by organizing Candidates Forums, Legislative and Community Government forums, and monitors legislation for issues affecting our membership.  Meets quarterly.

Small Business Committee seeks to facilitate the prosperity and community engagement of local small businesses through education, networking opportunities, and enhanced business resources.  Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.  Chair:  Bryon Biggs, Edward Jones.

CBM Mortgage to host December Business After Hours

LET’S TACO’BOUT OUR WONDERFUL YEAR! Come out for a fun night of networking and enjoy great company on Tuesday, December 17th, 5:30 pm!  Join us for terrific food, fun and networking at CBM Mortgage, 912 Hometown Way, Front Royal, VA 22630.

As we do each year we’ll be accepting donations for the Warren County Department of Social Services Foster Care Program.

Front Royal Christmas Fest & Parade

What’s not to LOVE about Christmas???  Join us for Holiday fun in Downtown Front Royal on Saturday December 7th for the Front Royal Christmas Fest and Parade.  Festivities include entertainment at the gazebo, vendors and artisans in the gazebo parking lot, a community SNOW BALL fight at 1 p.m., and the parade at 4 p.m.

Come early and shop downtown and stay late to have dinner!

 
 

Small Business Saturday, Love Letters & Christmas Tree Lighting

Join us for Small Business Saturday festivities on Saturday, November 30th!

We’ll be distributing Shop Small bags filled with goodies for local small businesses leading up to Small Business Saturday.

There will be carolers from Valley Chorale of Front Royal downtown filling the air with delightful Christmas tunes.

There will be an unveiling of Front Royal IBA (Independent Business Alliance) Love Letters at 5 p.m. at the Gazebo followed by the official lighting of the Town Christmas Tree and Main Street lights at 5:15 p.m.

Small Business Saturday 2019 is almost here!

The Chamber’s Small Business Committee is working to plan activities to celebrate our local small businesses during Small Business Saturday on November 30th and we NEED your help!  The committee will once again be distributing Shop Small totes filled with coupons and other items from local small businesses and there is still time for you to be featured in the bags.  Drop your coupons and/or promotional items off at the Chamber office by Wednesday, November 20th at noon.  Get in on the fun of Small Business Saturday and plan an activity or sale at your business.  Let Niki know what your plans are at nfoster@frontroyalchamber.com or 540-635-3185 so we can help promote you!

Chamber to host Candidates Forums

The Front Royal-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will host Candidates Forums on Thursday, October 17th at E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School and Thursday, October 24th at the Warren County Government Center beginning at 7 p.m.

The October 17th forum will include candidates for Board of Supervisors, Clerk of Court, and Sheriff. The forum on October 24th will include candidates for Town of Front Royal Mayor, House of Delegates 15th, 18th and 29th Districts, and Senate of Virginia.

These forums offer community members an opportunity to listen to both local and state candidates answer issue-based questions and give voters insight of the candidate’s goals should they be elected. The public is encouraged to attend, and the forums will be available for replay following the program.

Candidates will answer questions posed by a moderator, as well as questions submitted by the public in advance or at the program. All submitted questions will be screened before giving them to the moderator. Only questions that are issue-based and are relevant to all candidates will be posed. Anyone wishing to submit questions for consideration prior to the event should email them to info@frontroyalchamber.com or drop them off to the Chamber office.
